Q1 What is the Newcastle IVC?
Newcastle IVC is part of a national network of social clubs aimed at professionals, graduates and like-minded people, though all lively and sociable people are welcome to join.
Singles and couples are welcome, although we are not a singles club or a dating agency. Newcastle IVC is run entirely on a voluntary basis. We don't make a profit, and our sole purpose is to socialise, meet people, make friends and have fun.
Each month we produce the 'Bridge', .

which is a programme of all of the events arranged that month as well as forthcoming events. Events are organised by members, and you can go to as many events as you like
Q2 Is there an age limit for members?
No - this is entirely up to the discretion of the management committee. Generally in IVC, it is aimed at people from their mid-twenties upwards, but we don't believe this to be an important issue.
Q3 How much does it cost to join?
The annual subscription is £10. For those not in full-time employment it is £5. We also offer a month's free trial for new members.
Q4 Can I bring along a friend?
Guests are welcome to come along to weekend events.
Q5 Do you have a club constitution?
Yes. This can be view by clicking onto the Members section:
Q6 Okay - I want to join. What happens next?
As in question 4, a popular way is to be introduced by an existing member. Or you can find out about us in the local library or sometimes we advertise in the local paper.
Assuming you have first found out about us via this website, you can go to the 'contacts' page, where you can either e-mail us or contact the chairman or membership secretary. We will then make arrangements for you to meet us. Alternatively, you can just attend one of the Tuesday night club nights at the Millstone pub. Our area is well signposted, so we're easy to find. However, we do recommend you contact us before attending, as club nights are subject to change.
